It’s not uncommon for individuals to struggle with embodying the teachings of Jesus, even after years of being in church?Several factors might contribute to this experience:
Our personal struggles- life challenges, emotional wounds, and personal struggles can make it difficult to reflect faith in our daily lives.
Community influences- the church community plays a significant role. If the culture within the church doesn’t emphasize, living out faith in practical ways, it can lead to us being complacent.
Understanding our faith- sometimes there may be a disconnect between what we are taught and how it is internalized. Digging deeper into theological insights and personal applications can help us.
Also lack of practical application- engaging in community service, small groups, life, groups, or mentorship can provide opportunities for us to express faith, actively and make it more real.
Introspection and growth: taking time for yourself reflection and prayer can help you identify the weak areas where you wanna grow and how to align your character with your beliefs.
Seeking guidance from the pastor or mentor can also provide support and encouragement on your journey of faith. Remember, a spiritual growth is a process and it’s OK to seek Help along the way.
